The actual visit to Thow Kwang Pottery and Dragon Kiln in Crossing Bridges is on Tuesday 17 September. Sigma, Ricoh and Pentax agents APSD are sponsoring that day to keep our costs in check.
However several days before Thow Kwang (Steven) has invited early arrivals for Crossing Bridges and friends of Clubsnap for the Firing event of the Dragon Klin this friday night 13 September
The Dragon has been filling up with pottery works waiting to be fired in Dragon Klin and this is taken almost like a ritual amongst the art circles every time the Dragon is fired
There will be BBQ and potluck dinner. If you are going PLEASE note below:
1. BE AUTOMATIC and do not come to the Dragon Klin with your camera gear only and empty handed no food . Bring something to eat to share with everyone. Thats only fair and the right thing to do
2. Transport to Thow Kwang is difficult so you will need to arrange among yourselves to car pool
There will be celebrations in form of dances , songs, musical instruments .... very free-spirited
Several committee members from Crossing Bridges 10 will be there to join in the Celebration .... look for our lead man DAN LIM if you are able to make it . He'll help break the ice between photographers and artists.
