amazing but true.

the english fine tuned it n came out with 4-4-2 long ball.

the italians came out with the iron curtain defence style(counter attack).


the dutch then came out with TOTAL FOOTBALL. everyone can attack n defend.

steve mcmanaman was the last great winger from LFC.




till today we've no one close to his ability on the right wing.









none came to mind. jermaine pennant might jus make it as a useful winger.

all 90's because that's when i was born and know about TV programmes and back then channel 5 even have live broadcast and NBA basketball too. and WWF too. now?

i wasn't born in the era of dalglish, john barnes, ian rush, sourness but i would love to watch them seriously. are they better? or issit back in the older times where soccer wasn't that competitive (i believe that's why pele can score so many)

better or not i cant say coz those players were playing during different eras...but surely back in the 80s LFC won lotsa trophies...so from that point of view,i'd say they r better than players in the 90s...but i have to disaggree with u about players werent that competitive back then...those days,defenders were more aggressive...Pele got himself kicked during world cups...and players those days arent like nowadays...the great Maradona can drible past defenders and hes got great balance...i think if ronnie from mu would have fall and raise his hands asking for penalties...:bsmilie:

still remember in 82,i played for my sch in the west zone under 14...scored 5 goals as a right winger during that campaign...:bsmilie: we were the west zone champions back then beating Pasir Panjang sec sch 7-2 in the final...still treasure my medal...:bsmilie:
