'Cos Milan was playing at home this week, so one side had to give. Just like there are no two big games in London or at the Merseyside or at Manchester, at the same time in the Premier League, IIRC.

Safety reasons - imagine 80,000 - 100,000 people, 4 clubs' fans, all out in the same area at the same time... There's bound to be someone looking around for trouble, not to mention the horrendous traffic.

BTW folks, I keep a running tab of the minutes and performances (if they're mentioned in Soccernet match reports, and occasionally, from other clubs' forums) of the kids that are out on loan in a thread here:

If you're interested to know how our chaps are doing out on loan. Guthrie's been pretty impressive (but stuck in the wrong team), while it seems the likes of Godwin Antwi and Anderson (before his injury) have been getting good minutes. Hammill hasn't had much of an impact at Soton though.
