But what if D200 still wins D3X???? :dunno: Then I forever no need to upgrade
cannot be.

Nikon pays attention to wat Mr.Nikon says, comments and read all his review.
remember Nikon gave him a 'leftie' F100 for trial and review? :bsmilie:

Nikon cannot afford another embarrassment. rumoured that the 'banding' issue is to put Nikon users off the D200 and to make them buy the now obsolete D2X for more $$.

i dunno wat KRW will think of abt the D3X but last i check, 2mins back, he's yet to post his review!!! man, the wait is excruciating!:bsmilie:

get the D200 now if u cannot wait anymore. if it beats D2X, surely its of some standard?
besides, KRW is using it! think abt it, u get to use the cammie that KRW himself is using!

how special is tat???

Ouch thats sharp.

I have been saving for this lens for sometime. Looking at pics like this helps strengthen the resolve.

That's odd, I find it pretty sharp at f2.8, especially at 17mm. Personally I find the 17-55 sharper than the 17-35 I tried at apertures f4 and below, above that the 17-35 gets sharper.

That said, among 3rd party zooms, the Tamron 17-35 is also capable of sharp results at 17/2.8 and a touch softer at 35mm.
If one is on a budget, he might want to wait for the tamron 17-50/f2.8 which should be pretty good judging from tamron's recent track record.
