The pre production model for E-500, E-510 are ready to make it to the big time in August. Production starts in July.

Wow I'm keen on this battery grip, finally we got it for Olympus E-500, do let us know when is the first shipments. Sadly Olympus don't develop their own battery grip.

As mentioned earlier, it is mainly due to Olympus losing a lot of money on developing their own vertical grips/battery holder. This is why they have decided to work with third party developers for these things until in future they see the Olympus users starting to look at buying VG with their cameras.

Release dates are coming soon... they are moving to the mass production (manufacturing) phase now. Ironing out some electronics stuff now.
