Hart does this work on a Dynax 5D.

because the price is so cheap. it costs about $100 in China while here sell at $145---still way cheaper than original ones. I'll go to China soon and try this, and many adapter/convert rings.

Can take some here if anyone like to try. China price and without warranty:) acturally it fits most of C,N,P body, too

bought 1 b4, paid quite alot... anyway, i later sold it to get a M original one... but den again... no diff... but the older ones are better...

think timberwolf got a old one, that 1 is more comfortable.... the new one got shallow cup, den when i put my eye near it, my long lashes will get irritated... so seldom use now...

am not hart, but i answer :sticktong since i dunno if he has a 5D

it works the same on 5D as on the 7D. fits without an adapter, in normal mode you can see the entire viewfinder, including shutter and aperture info, etc. when you use the 2x magnification, you obviously lose the viewfinder info. also need to adjust the diopter to get it in focus.

Sorry, I don't have a 5D, but I presume it is pretty much the same for 7D and 5D for eye piece thingy.

So I believe it will fit.

actually they come with a minolta plate too... maybe it will add some distance and no need to adjust distance when using 1x & 2x? anyway i too lazy to use the adaptor anyway... cos it always get stuck on the camera...

I suppose with the angle view finder it will also help to focus better for macro photography because of the 2x magnification.

yeap... better than the LCD one, last time bought the LCD one, think its zigview, in the end i dun like, cos the resolution cannot make it... for street photography ok, cos enuff ambient light, den u can have the hit miss factor, for macro, die liao, the lcd blur, the subject u also dunno focus where... sure screw up... maybe my skills level not high lah...

anyway, seagull is good, comparable to the minolta ones, and only itchy finger like mine would go sell seagull to buy minolta... depreciate 50 bucks just like that... lucky i get my minolta cheap...
