wished i could have made it but stuck in office........... hope the next time there's a Nikon Council i will be brining my D70! ;p

hey... philip827. you may consider sigma 18-125mm... it's quite a good walkaround lens. But it's not AFS lens and it might be abit slow in AF. Also it's ~$100 more than kit lens. For me i am getting the Sigma 18-125mm....

Anyway, your Canon Camera sucked-up on you is nothing new. That's that way canon manufacture their stuff... need constant replacement every year, even if it still did not disfunct in a yr time, Canon themselves discontinued it for you and force you to upgrade to newer sets by bug fixing the set that you're already owning on the new model.
Anyway, if you wanna to hear more, I got more Canon S*****S stories to share if we ever meet up in the 'Nikon Council'.

But how about the receipt part, that's impt. (presume international warranty is standard). I was shooting too much this week, flash also burned out....so i guess it CAN happen.

Receipt would be issued by local Nikon Authorised reseller with local warranty card.

Thank u ... I want to buy a new DSLR ... was thinking of D70 or D100 but also would consider 2ndhand 10D ... I don't like 300D because its plastic ... and I understand 10D is glorified 300D ... but it feels nice. If u think Canon obsoleted things very quickly does that mean that 10D is already obsoleted?
