P7. Broken Sandal

This little girl, who I had met during my trekking days.

Children in the region, normally they have to walk on rocky and muddy path, also climbing up and down few times a day at about 30 storey high or even higher.
At this young age, these children have to help their families to carry stuffs to the fields everyday.

As I photographing her, I realized that she is wearing a broken sandal and no more sole. My heart feel sorry for these children in the mountain region.

I feel ashamed of myself who own many pair of shoes and even times I complain shoes are not enough.

I just came back from Nepal (23 April to 09 May 2010).

shouldn't too difficult - I even saw aunties trekking up to ABC...is just the timing different only.

Are you sure it is not difficult but i think it is really worth the climb.
I believe the high altitude sickness will affect climbers more than fitness. I saw old ladies doing such climb without any problem but saw a very fit man suffered from the sickness and has to forgo the climb.

Thanks for sharing. Certainly you have captured the beauty of this land. I was fortunate to visit this place during our missions trip there. Have not had a chance to venture out yet. Will definitely try soon.

BTW, why ABC?
