Uncle Ghostfit! long time no see!

Innovative but given the size of the 2 lenses , hmm - I wonder how many users will actually warm to the process of carrying 1 around , fixing it on , connecting them to the phone and then take pictures when they could have just brought along an compact and shoot until happy.

But ya , sad to sad given the way they can be used ; confirm got some sick minded people will exploit them la. Think that's why Google Glass also requires u to speak out when taking a picture or video.

Connecting seems easy and fast by NFC, I wouldn't use it with WiFi. Don't forget the QX100 will be cheaper than a RX100 Mark II.

Still no appearance on Sony's SG page, I wonder when the QX100 will be out here...

I think this and the ipad mini would be a cool combination. Especially with an 7.9 or 8 inch screen a lot less suprises when viewing on the pc. Especially when shooting in low light

A Xperia Z Ultra would be enough for me. ;)

Won't use it with a phone? BTW it should be connection by Wi-Fi; NFC just makes it faster

I saw both on sale in GuangZhou. Very tempted to buy right there and then but never do much research on it so didn't make the jump.

You should have bought it. :)

I just got back from Tokyo yesterday and played with both models at the Sony Centre there. The zoom and focussing speed is not bad, but as a functional item I would not buy one as it just adds another step in the photography process. The optics are generally fairly impressive for the size, but I will stick with my RX100's I think

I would think if one of these mounted on a DJI Phantom quadrotor, and FPV with FATSHARK and modded ZENMUSE mount would make a great aerial photography rig:think:.

The Wi-Fi range is limited.

and what are you looking to achieve? looking to send drones into peoples' homes? :bsmilie:

Why must u always have lewd ideas?

Let's just stick to photography. Aerial photography for consumer is considered a new branch in photography/videography. With better quality cameras like QX10/100, it provides greater flexibility. A lot better than a Gopro or Sony action.

Yes, wifi is limited for photo at the moment but someone might one day engineer a wireless mechanical shutter and zoom for such rig. The UAV can fly up to 5km away but remote shutter is a bit problem with wifi.
