i always assume that pontianak only reserved to forested areas/graveyards/abandoned houses away from the city.

that amulet is a miniature version of the actual guardian dogs which you can see in some chinese people homes/temples...

i not taoist so i don't know why to buy it. maybe you can ask your parents abt it.

i had some discussion with my dad just now, he said that place was dirty... becoz Japanese soldiers killed locals around the area during the japanese occupation of singapore.
