Hmm...

Should I upgrade to a D90? There's one going off in B&S for $830, if I can sell my D5000 for around $700 and upgrade my body, I can use AF-D lenses in the future...

Hmm i feel its not much of an upgrade leh, also not very often you will use AF lenses, so far i only use 2, 50mm f1.8 and my dad's old 28-80 film lens.

That's not an upgrade, unfortunately...

I want to get a Tokina 11-16 in the future, and probably a few more AF-D lenses. I'm also getting a little frustrated about the grip of my D5000, no flash high speed sync for outdoor fill flash which makes it terrible for outdoor events, and I feel like playing around with wireless flash also.

D5000 doesn't support wireless flash? hmm seems like you have quite a few reasons to change haha but you won't get the flexible viewfinder with the D90

edit: LCD i mean

I do use the articulating screen at times, but I don't think I'll miss it much. AF is too slow in live view anyway, and even if you use it to frame your shots without a tripod, by the time the mirror flips down and up again, your framing is gone. I'll just lie on the ground if I need to. And wireless flash is not the main issue, it's high speed sync.

Really ridiculous stuff Nikon does with their entry level bodies buyers. There is no:
-AF motor
-Flash commander
-Flash high speed sync
-Battery grip support
-Front dial
-ISO button (seriously, WTF??!!)
-Custom white balance (or at least I still can't figure out how to set custom WB)
-High resolution screen

hmm thats quite important and i have nvr used live view and i think i will rarely use it even after my upgrade. If D90 is what you need the upgrading might not be such a bad idea

I think a few models doesn't support bracketing as well right?
