but the problem is... everyone's brightness setting on their comp screen is different.
May i know whether there is a standard for fixed brightness setting when PP-ing/viewing photogs?

Ur pic is obviously under expose even ur monitor setting is high

any fixed calibration method? some methods doesn't work on other brands.

Ur pic is obviously under expose even ur monitor setting is high

same thing on my cam's LCD. Brightness fooled me into thinking my shots were decently exposed.
hmmm... i gotta set my brightness to 50% just as crystal has mentioned.

SDW, how does your histogram look? Are the peaks mostly on the dark side? Because the pics are not just slight underexposed, they are too dark.

The tone range from darkest on the left to the brightest on the right in the histogram. If you find that all your peaks fall on the extreme left, there is a high chance of your pic being underexposed. The histogram is a rough guide, so by looking at it, you can estimate how well your picture is exposed.
