I also start to see 3 different ways of using the Q7.

Michael uses it for everything, sort of his only camera (small and light for travel)

Bernard daringly uses it for grand landscapes, pushing things like RAW, built in ND, filter use, blending, stitching

I use it as a 2nd camera for streets and small stuff.

Certainly something for me to learn the Q7 for....

In-camera monochrome? User 1 - 4 settings? Really nice configurable buttons, but I would love to have each one having a totally configurable settings and not just the different types of scenes.

It does store any picture mode as well as filters.
Of course I'd like it if it can store picture modes as well as camera operating functions all at once (eg. Film > BW > ND-on > ND-off )
Maybe in a future firmware update, I hope....

But looking at how the other options open up to empty box options, I'm optimistic that it will happen in time.

Q + 06
Already knew it's capabilities based on your shots, but when the 02, and 06 made up the 24-70, 70-200 range, and the 01 is around 40mm (I am sucker for this focal length), I know it's going to be "the" travel cam for me. More so than even the GR.

JK, we continue "spamming" okay?

You are not spamming, you are poisoning us :p

You know you want it.

I am looking forward to the suspected wide angle coming soon ...

Ya I guess with Ricoh's influence I really hope they will look to introduce some software enhancements to improve user-experience.

Brought the Q(original) out for a quick 3D2N getaway to Thailand, bought it practically a day before the flight!
Luckily its compatible with my old Fuji F70EXR batteries, had plenty of fun shooting and I'm quite impressed with the IQ and handling.

Pentax Q got Club bo? I wanna join too!

Ultra long Pano with my 02 Lens + Q7

Long Exposure with a 3 stop ND using a 02 Lens and the Q7.

Sunset with a 3 stop ND and the in-body ND, using a 02 lens and the Q7.

Seriously, I am so pleased with this camera, and I am looking forward to the wide-angle that it's rumoured in the road-map.

I would not touch this thing with a barge pole on the Q classic, but I think it works a bit better on Q7.
It can still come up with awful results though.

If this mode allowed 3 frames (actual; front focused; back focused) to be saved and used for manual blending, that it would be so much better.
