very good capture of the event
Thanks.

care to share what lens/flash did u use?
I am using 50mm 1.4 prime for most of the shots and ISO800 on 20D. Some photos are cropped for better composition. Quite difficult to shoot as many photogs blocking the way. 580II with whaletail used.

Fabulous shots with good exposure control with flash - well balanced without any harsh flash.:thumbsup:

OOF shots? Didn't use higher shutter speed?

OOF shots. It was due to many reasons.

-Many of the celebs never stopped for us to take photos and walked through the small red carpets very fast.
-There were many cameras blocking the way. The focus landed on those cameras instead. It was a nightmare to use single-point AF and recompose as they walked very fast towards me which is next to the door.
-The area around us was dimly lit.
-The final reason is my lousy skill...:bsmilie::bsmilie:

Any suggestion for this AF issue is very welcome. Thanks all for viewing.

aside from the "red carpet" were you guys allowed anywhere else? or just disperse after the carpet event?

Some lucky guys (3guys) got invited to join the dinner. We just said "Bye Bye" to each other and go home after that...:sweatsm::sweatsm:

Anyway quite happy to shoot that kind of things. I believe many of us feel the same.

bro... you aren't the only one with OOF probs that night... :bheart:

yah.... lots of blury ones and some showed people's heads and GIANT bouncecards in the foreground! :bsmilie:

i think i got more of celine's photos than other celebrities!!!! :sticktong:sticktong:sticktong

haha, next time must bring ladder! :bsmilie: nice pics bro!
I think ladder no use lah.. The angle will be very wired.. I think next time we should arrange ourselfs better, so that everyone can get better pics.. It was suggested to be V-shape of photogs but it didn't happen.

bro,
there were always be this bunch of incosiderate photogs around. Is suggested V- shaped, but they formed another inverted v-shaped(mirror image). . .:bsmilie:

Detailed analysis of the OOF shots - I guess this is a pretty common problem.

My suggestion: Use Small Aperture :bsmilie::bsmilie:

Nice series and good take:thumbsup:
