Bought The Plamp by Wimberley recently. This is a wonderful piece of gadget for all Macro photograhers. It is a 1m flexible arm with a clamp on each end.
You attach one end to your tripod and the other to the subject (ie flower or leaf). With the Plamp, you can position the flower to any angle or against any background you desire. It also holds the flower steady during windy conditions.
You can also use the clamp to hold a reflector or sun shade.
The length of the flexible arm is also adjustable. The use is simply endless. I have seen similar products but non of the design is as good as this
