Using this as a repository of K1 info.
So some reposts of photos taken at the Pentax outing, but adding more info/impressions.
First off, Pixel Shift (PixS) again.

This time, I tried Pentax Digital Camera Utility (PDCU), and overall I think this is the software to better make use of the PixS file.
For one, the Motion Control option in the utility works and there are no movement artifacts, unlike my previous venture with LR (as of writing).
The other is that the sharpening algo of PDCU seems to understand and takes care of the PixS image better.
On LR, I get the impression of it using mostly one image, unless sharpening to turned up to levels that I don't often use.
This might be understandable for now since LR is catered as a general RAW converter while PDCU specifically looks out for a PixS image.
Go to the largest file and see to believe:

Even license plates and info off the tourist info center on the bottom left corner is readable.
Good corners, edges on a 14-15mm or even 16-17mm are never easy.
Not a small feat for any 14-15mm lens and even more impressive with PixS added.
