i stumbled upon external rangefinders and i find them irresistibly cute
almost as collectable as the Zeiss Ikophot...
How it works is you look at the side with the single window, moving
the dial as you focus, internally adjusting until dual image becomes
one, much like a modern rf camera.
When this is done, the dial will rest on the distance from the
object to the rf.
am using this to pair with my Zeiss Ikonta, too bad my 1934 camera
doesn't have a shoe... LOL
