The look and feel is quite nice. The hood certaily feels nicer than the f/1.9 version. I'm so tempted.....

Cheers,

Benny, GET it! and be tempted no more.....:bsmilie:

when do they make these lenses for SLR..... :(

why would u need one for slr when u can have it autofocus.. just my thought...:)

Does this lens also in LTM mount?
Look interesting le.;p

Voigtlander got autofocus meh?
no serious, i got 4 of them 40, 58 and 125 for the Nikon and a 25mm for the leica and i love the quality of the voigtlander lenses... using manual focus slows you down bit which can be a good thing as you give yourself some more time to focus and compose....
i use my MF lenses with my D300 more than AF lenses...

Thats wat i mean... No auto focus...
I am keen in this lens too but the prices seems a bit high for a non auto focus lens. Unless its a leica...:)

you are paying for the optics not the AF... the 125mm Macro lens is not as sharp as my Sigma 105mm but it has a fantastic bokeh and its focusing is extremely precise with like a 90deg turn or more for the last few cm focus distance (0.3cm to infinity requires 1.5 half full turns)
the 40mm is small and compact, again with a great bokeh, very bright and the 58mm 1.4 is a beautiful portrait lens...
maybe it's just the built of these lenses that makes them so much fun to work with... i dont miss the AF and i dont think they are pricey

The performance of this lens is superb, even more so when used on a digital body. Here are some examples:

油,滑, chin swee !

Compared to a Leica equivalent, the price is a steal.

The "bubbles" on the leaves of the trees are what I really like about this lens. Noticed it on some of my shots and now reproduced on your M8...

Hard to come by a wide angle lens that can produce some form of "bokeh".

In summary, this is really a good lens.

Chiif, you must have mistaken. These shots are not taken by my M8, but from an Epson by 达叔@ZeissFan.

I haven't got the time to bring this baby out for a spin yet. But here is one quick shot to see its looks on an M8:

(flickr seems to somehow reduce the saturation and contrast of image uploaded. I could have increased its saturation by 10% and its local contrast a wee bit to give it more pop but rather not )

Will surely shoot more...
