I can imagine the queue out your front door for this one. :)
I think u need the police for crowd control !

Oooh. What is the damage like?

S$780!!!

Cheers,

Thanks Chiif for bringing in this great lens. I was about to pay 7 times more for the 28 'cron

Initial impression: great edge-to-edge sharpness, medium contrast, and no distortion visible. It is definitely a keeper for me.

don't like that, lah... pls be a little sensitive to those of us who still have the old one...

er.... You don't have to pay $200+ subscription for the next 24 months to get it free... You only need to part with a small token and the lens is yours! :)
small token = S$780

Sample pics from my R4A + Lucky Super 200 this afternoon. Was a damn hazy day... but the colour still looks decent.

Click on the image to see the x2048 pixel larger size image on the "bokeh" round "droplets" from the trees.

This is not an aspherical lens, hence, no "donut" rings in the "round droplets".

Old one is LTM. Can get milled adapter for coding for M8 users.:)
This new one must either use marker to code with M coder or maybe mount can be removed to send for milling-not so elegant.
Anyway, still a nice lens and smaller in size:)

Some sample shots from yesterday can be found here... :)

were you shooting wide open chiif? there seems to be quite a bit of light fall-off.
It's also seen on some of Tom A's photos wide open.

And... some more eye candy. :)

The M6 with the built in 28mm framelines, it's the perfect companion for this lens.

On a M8, it becomes approx 35mm focal length (with the 1.33x crop), which makes it an excellent travel & walk about lens too.
