The most underrated lens

Puh-leeeze, I had to throw away my 18-55. Well, not throw away but sell away for peanuts. The optic was terrible. At f/8 it was sortof ok. Open up aperture to even 1 stop below max and it is dog-shite. I think only my old crappy 35-80 III kit lens was worse than this cheap plastic toy 18-55.

There're quite a number of Lemons for the EF-S 18-55 around. You just got 1.

Fortunately, mine was pretty sharp at F7.1~F8.0

to be frank, the person who takes the picture is more important than the lens. One who take gd pics come from its Original Ideas and Creativity. If one does not have these.. even u give him a L lens is useless.

heh, the 18-55 not to be scoffed at. still managed to kick the ass of the sony A100 & kit lens..
