juz OT abit.

there was a little bit of commotion at my end. me & my fren caught a pervert(a sec schooler, i presumed) taking 'obscene' photos of a little gal piggy-back on her dad's shoulder when the event started not long after.

this guy was using a camera phone and stick it inside/under the gal clothes and start shooting. i alerted my fren and when he strike again, my fren grabbed his hand and alerted the gal's parents. They requested the boy to hand over the phone but he was trying to buy time to delete the photos which he managed to delete one in front of my eyes until the mother snatched the phone. They deleted away but let the boy off and they left the place. the boy however continue to wiggle in more deeply.

when the show end, the boy came out, followed behind i presumed his mum.

wow! very nice shots u've got there... i was @ de 1st level, quite behind.. all my shots were screw up... not even 1 is salvageable ... ;p shd have been there earlier to get better vantage point!

This show is crazy hot. At a recent family gathering, all the aunties & kids were chatting about it.

oh so u were the one with another pg using 24-70(too far 2 see clearly, though initially it was fitted with a 50) standing at near the lower right corner of the stage facing it? saw u? taking photos of the crowd with the 70-200. was wondering whether it was u? cos some of the photos u? posted were definitely from ard the centre until u? indicated ur direction.

Which lens did you use for this? The Tamron or the Nikkor? I was never able to get pictures this good when I was using the D80. Did you use a lot of post processing?

Think he used the 70-200 VR in order to get close up shots and depth of field.

Nice clean shots, with good expressions captured.

I was transferring bus at the place in the morning and noticed that a lot of teenagers are already there 6 hours before the schedule event! I'm guessing it must be crazy packed when it actually starts.

On another side note, maybe this event will get olivia ong introduced to the mainstream audience.

there's a few(counted at least 8). me & fren stayed the same location throughout the event even though we can move forward. not very good position, as banners were blocking almost all the while. judging from ur fotos, me think u got urself a good position, at least u hv no banners to worry about.

some of them on ladders were knocked off when the event started. me on ladder when the crowds were abit "calmer".

yes, it was when the BAD casts appeared. the "infamous pg" and his fren were knocked off. i only on ladder when it was calmer. when the GOOD casts were introduced, even more pushing. me not much snapping due to standing/squatting and the pervert incident.

u will see more when there are fashion/model catwalk shows.

I think it's ok to have step ladder for shots, as long as pg are not blocking the views of others. Thought of getting 1 myself 2. :bsmilie:

I do not think the ladder is the issue here. It is the way this show is being organised.
I have always bring my ladder for these type of stage show. However, this is what I normally do:
I stand about 4-5 row behind the people (depending on the distance to the stage), so that those who came early can see the people on stage.
I ALSO TELL THE PEOPLE (WHO USUALLY ARE LATE) BEHIND ME THAT I MAY BE BLOCKING THEM WHEN I STAND UP ON THE LADDER.
This is to give people who arrive early a good view of the stage.
For those who arrived late, sometime, it is just too bad.
This is a real world.

I think nobody wishes to block anybody.
If people are complaining about the photographers blocking their view, why don't they complain to the organiser about the people who put up the poster so high, that the people behind are even more blocked!!!!

I am not here to start a fight, please, but to explain things as it is. If anybody is offended, I offer my apology.

I was there too but I chose to take from the 2nd level because anticipating this event to attract a lot of people, given the popularity of this serial. I love the pics from the person who has started this thread, very nice and have DOF unlike mine due to the limitation of my lens.
