I'm referring to your above comment.

anyway, when Nikon and Canon produce their FIRST professional body, Nikon call it Nikon F, and Canon call it Canon F1,

so the succeeding Nikon pro body is Nikon F2 instate of Nikon F1, it is not a rule, but a tradition.

Well, alright then. My comment was simply to highlight the fact that the naming of a product can be somewhat arbitrary. I guess it was never made clear.

Yes, the most pro is Canon EOS -1Ds MK(-3).

:bsmilie:

As the title shown, I doubt about it.
I was told by a friend about the statement.

Hence, I would like to ask everyone here,is it true?
I thought it depends on the spec of the SLR?
and does it apply on every brand of SLR?

well your friend was almost right.
the thing is, this only applies to CANON and canon only!
hahaha
here's canon breakdown
xxxD = Entry-level DSLR
xxD = Semi-Pro DSLR
xD = Professional DSLR

"The more Professional the user with his skills and eyes, the more professional his photos will come out"

In other words.. photoshop is the answer to people with no skill what so ever like me.. =(

And the 1000D? Is it rather a bulky PnS? ;)

heheh.. yeah 1000D is a bulky point and shoot.. but it can take relatively better pns photos la..

Gosh.. don't let my 1000D see this or it'll cry and drown its sensor...

=(
