Wow it's been long since your last post! Still looking good! although it's a little underexposed.

thanks for the feedback sgdevilzz! it looks fine on my monitor so I may need some more folks to help confirm whether it's just my eyes and monitor or what. :D although someone commented that my fried rice lacks contrast. :)

I think the exposure is fine. Any higher and the rice will "disappear". Perhaps what you could try is to pump up saturation a tiny bit to give the rice a bit more punch. Cheers!

Nice Series! Btw, where do you get all the nice props? especially the cloths.. :embrass:

hey, thanks for noticing the props! :) at last my efforts didn't go futile.

I bought most of the cloths from daiso. If i were to do this for a living, i am willing to spend more and buy from other stores. I saw some good ones in spotlight plaza singapura too but find it too expensive for my budget. Mustafa has a lot of affordable ones too so you might want to consider checking it out.

the wooden bowl i bought it from the philippines. I am guessing there will be lots of these stuff in Bale too. hope this helps.

No worries....and one more thing. If you want to reduce the shadow behind the bowl, you can use a simple piece of white drawing board paper to reflect the oncoming light; no need for flash unless you want to have light all evenly spread out. The shadows are also as important as light as they give definition and texture to the food subject. Have fun.

My grandma did the same dish. Only difference is that yours looks abit more appetizing. No offense granny!

your lighting is very good. however for the first picture the angle is abit distraction as it shows alot of the bowl and too much cut off on the food area such thing its abit hard to see the food structure.

nice cooking you got there !

I love the shots that you have captured. Nice composition and colours. Please keep up the good work
