anybody doing a MO?

hmm nice, if anyone starting a MO, i would like to get one.

I think MO is rather tedious to organise. Why not just buy from Ebay?

any other shop got sell this at a more reasonable price ?

did u buy from that same ebay seller?
if so, how long did it take for you to receive the flash after payment?

No I did not buy from Ebay. It was bought in the US itself.

Nice find...

Made for G1. Don't mind if I share the link in FourThirds forum to benefit the G1 users there.

I just bought that Targus flash from that ebay store and it doesn't work well. It sucks! No ttl even though the screen says so. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Maybe works once in 20 times. Worse than useless! I've read the same thing from another poster on other forums. I guess you get what you pay for.. ;( :thumbsd:

oops ... tks for the info, sayjaibow ...

I almost buy, but unfortunately/fortunately the ebay store doesn't ship to SG ... and I was planning to do it via vpost ...

Hi sayjaibow

I have googled but couldn't find the bad feedbacks for this flash on other forums ... can you provide a link?

I saw a reference to the targus flash on dpreview a while ago but took the risk anyway to buy it. Here's the link but I guess it's for an olympus user.

I must say that this also seems the case for my LX3 as well. Very poor recognition from my camera for the flash. Sometimes it works but most of the time it doesn't. It says ttl is available on the screen of the lx3 but only fires full power on mine. Maybe you will have better luck?

so what is the brand and model ?????
after so many posts still dun know the brand and model !!! :(

Look at HOCL's post #7. Click on the word "One". It contains the link to the flash post on eBay

Agree that if you use it as a direct flash, it tends to be too powerful.

However, I use it mainly as a bounce flash and it works wonderfully at that. For the price I paid and size and portability, I am willing to overlook some faults

For direct flash, my simple workaround is just use the onboard flash :)

I wish you would have told us that from the beginning that it only works as a bounced flash. I would have saved my time and money. Let me ask you though. Does your flash fire predictably all the time or sometimes yes and sometimes no? Mine only fires occassionally. Do you use any special settings? What version firmware are you on? The original or one of the updated ones?

I never really used it as direct flash so I wouldn't know. It's only from your post that I decided to try it out.

So far, my flash fires all the time. Of course, you have to wait for it to recycle (red light appear). I have used AUTO, REDEYE, FORCED, SLOW SYNC. My LX3 was on V1.1 and now v1.2

So, for LX3, which external flash to purchase that can really support TTL? I am looking for one... :)
