At least for me it is a lost art: I keep taking pics but I am too lazy to print them, my negs are piling up from the past few years......so what am I? Just a (club)snapper?

Hong Sien

Hong Sien, you can do contact print first then in your free time, print those which you like best. I don't print every negative I exposed but rather spent more time printing those I like better.

Wow long don't come to club snap and miss this  :bsmilie: A wise old china man once say " White cat and black cat, can catch rat is a good cat." If it work for you, then it your process. I am working on a new type of digital and anglog process. Shoot with digital, then print in a chemcial process so this a digital or anglog? I don't care as long it work. I am a strong belive wet chemcial process will never die. Same go to glass process and other special process as long there poeple using it. It will stay. :bsmilie:

Me going ultra off-topic...

wah, shooting digital and print analog...u'll need a digital enlarger (I know de vere has one), which costs an arm and a leg.

then again, if recording industry can have AAD, or DAA instead of DDD, well... ;)

I'm talking nonsense, pardon me.

lambda printing also cost 2 leg 3 arms hehehe..

The process I am talking about is called Digital Negative. Shoot on digital create a digital negative on photoshop through a printer then print contact prints in darkroom. Haven't master it as there a lot of materials hard to find in SG :(

centuries ago people did painting. after the invention of camera, those people got mati not? there are still people do painting. so y waste time arguing about developing/printing?

Check with Streetshooter, he has tried it b4.

You can actually order the material (transparencies) from UK...read it in one issue of B&W Magazine...lemme go dig it out.

The whole idea is to reverse image, place it over the print and straight contact print...u don't even need an enlarger actually.

I am just too lazy lah! I seldom make contacts, I usually just print after looking at the negs (if you look at the negs at a certain angle you can see the positive image btw).

.....but now , I don't even look at the negs as they haven't been developd :-)
