Lord Sidious aka Chancelor Palpatine staged his own kidnap by Count Dooku. Anakin and Obi Wan went to save him. Obi Wan was knocked unconcious in the fight but Anakin defeated Count Dooku. Count Dooku was ordered by Lord Sidious to be captured by Anakin to make Anakin a super hero of the republic, but after he was defeated by Anakin, Palpatine played him out and talked Anakin into killing Count Dooku. Anakin chopped his head off...

After Palpatine revealed to Anakin that he was Lord Sidious, he asked Anakin to report it to the Jedi council. At that time Yoda and Obi Wan were sent to separate missions so Mace Windu went to fight Sidious. Sidious killed him and ordered the masacre of the Jedi.

Yoda returned, fought Sidious and was defeated. He fell off the building but was rescued by Senator Organa.
