The floods

Hi guys

I just got a second-hand G9 Canon Housing. I got it tested today (in a swimming pool - the best place I can think off), and i was wondering whether it is possible for floodings to be caused by rusted screws at the lens area. Was testing it for a while and saw small tiny droplets of water inside.

Where can i get the screws replaced?

Possible..... Since any weak point could be places where water could enter.... don't forget, Under Pressure, the water could very well 'force' their way in from even the smallest of holes.

Question..... Do anyone here knows CSC servicing Canon U/W casing ?? Like changing out rusted parts or harden buttons ??

I don't think canon, or any other camera manufacturers do such parts swap or servicing. Esp since they are camera manufacturers and not u/w housing experts. Spare o-rings maybe, but other parts i don't think so.

I think you'll have better luck getting scubacam or oceanicfocus to have a look at the housing and ask their advice. ;)

Hahaha..... or maybe cheaper to get a new casing :bsmilie:

I jus called CSC actually.
They don't do any u/w housing servicing, what more they wun wanna be responsible for any flooding cases.
Damn. That means I need to find one new housing...
