Don't need it to be Max size.
2nd size from smallest should work fine.
I have that as default on my Q.

Hmm. I always set my Q AF points to the smallest. Seem to work ok with the 01 lens. But I do agree that the lock on is not always. But seem the DOF is larger than my K5 and K01. I just focus on anything which is close to the less contrasty area.. Seem to work well. lolx..

But I will try your advice also to see the difference.

Agree with JK , tried the second smallest area or cross area, works as well on the low contrast wall.

I think Q is really my daily camera now. Easily left in my bag. It has become my food shot camera! Think i should take other stuff other than food.

No, the price $500 is the average price, my baker friend bought the set at $520, with uv filter w extra battery w 8GB SD . I bought my set at $487 w 8G SD. You should target $487 w 8GBSD or lower if no SD card. I bought a $15 silver UV filter online.

Was out shooting by the beach, testing my Pk-Q adaptor.
Took less than 30pix during a period of 1 hour.
I was out in the open, no shade.
Mainly taking pix of faraway ships and airplanes overhead.

After some shots, I notice that a red thermometer symbol on the display.
Guess the camera was over heating.

Question, does anyone has similar experience?
I'm using a white Q, if it matters

No video.
My guess is because my 90mm is acting as a magnifying glass and directing heat to the sensor. Something like using magnifying glass to start fire.
