The advantage to stay on M43 or switch camp

Please use only 1 of the 2 IS option. Either use the IBIS or the OIS. Not both together.

I use the E-PL1 and have the Lumix 14-140. if I have both the IS on, the images come out blur. It's blur free only when either 1 IS is on and when the speed is lower than the optimum.

Optimum speed is 1/(focal X 2)s. eg, shooting at 14mm, 1/28s and at 140mm, 1/280s being the minimum.

Another thing I notice, holding the PEN is very different from holding s dSLR. a dSLR seem more stable. I could handhold at speeds up to 10% lower then the optimum without having to turn on the IS.

Thank you Blu-by-U, I think you have sum up my problem. My both IS and OIS were ON. I shall remember to off the PANA 20mm and 45-200mm OIS to off and try again on next trip.

Playing too safe ha. Luckily only about 20 over shots.

I take this opportunity also to make correction I wrote earlier, my wife did not press me to change the camera. Typo error.

Spidy, I think I know why the 3 photo were not uploaded. The allowed max size is 400kb and I think my picture was about 7MB each in jpg.

Anyway, Blu-By-U has given me an answer that I feel a lot happier now. The setting on the telezoom was wrong. Playing too safe to set IS1 and OIS On. Ended up with this unhappy message.

Sorry guys. My own fault.

Glad it worked out for you, but just in case, check future images that you shoot and should you see any photos not working, please post the image here and we can help you troubleshoot where you got things messed up.

The strength in this community here is the ability to help each other. Even critique if you are up to it. We are more than a "brand fan base" here... we are photographers first. It has been like this since the first day this section of the forums was formed. And I believe that it will be like that. The culture has been established as such.

Glad you found a solution but if you have any future problems, feel free to post them. We are passionate photographers, so sometimes the replies you get might be a little over the top, but I believe everyone meant good.

Happy shooting and try the new settings to make sure all the shots work.

God bless and have a great weekend.
