OK, my view on this is that whatever the case, you have to show yourself swingoutsister. I would suggest you to take your time to pick the photographers here (if you've decided to do a TFCD with the photographers in CS), meet up with them for a chitchat session and find out more, their ultimate intention, what kind of photographs they tend to produce, their style, etc. By doing so, you can also choose the best! Remember, you choose your photographer, the photographers also choose their models!
If you don't like to meet them, just ask for their portfolio. Remember, you ask for their portfolio, they'll also ask for your photograph, so be prepared to release 1 or 2 of your shots. I'm sure by looking at their portfolio, you'll have a clearer picture on what kind of photos they tend to produce, their style, etc. A picture speaks a thousand words!
I'm sure there are some 'black sheeps' here who just want to take pictures of beautiful women. Communication will help to filter out these people out. Once you have decided on a photographer, have further discussion on the details of the shoot like how you all going to pay for the MUA, hair stylist, what kind of theme, what clothes to wear, what will the deliverables be, how long will be the lead time for these deliverables, signing of agreement (if any), etc.

Gee... its alive coz its free.....
I think photographers / amateurs need to take note and know that there seems to be some who are using TFPs as an excuse to get free photos taken.... If its a working model on a budget, then working with photographers / amateurs for TFP makes sense. You can try out new themes and style and get a portfolio both can use....
Not to get freebie makeover pics....;p

When I offer TFCD, say I'm not paying for make up, CD only, no touch up, one to one only, all run far far away.....
They only want free make up.. want many photographers snap many many photos... photo want to add blur add soft........
she is so lucky to have so many photographer to help her to take photo... is it very hard for guys to survive here?? lol... no one offer to take my pic... so sad.. sob sob... maybe i should stick to dancing bah.. lol... any1 need lessons for waltz, tango, cha cha, rumba??? i teach...
