testing water for rental of 500mm mirror lens

i am thinking of buying 500mm mirror lens and/or 500mm f4 for my personal use and also for rent as there seems to be a market for such lens.

if i buy, i will get nikon mount as i am using nikon. plus it's possible to get a adaptor for canon mount but not the other way round.
