Test Market: Canon Mount Lens

I got a relatively brand new lens which is only around 4-5 months old.
Just wanna know how much market would value this very good condition lens.

1. Canon 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM. with hood, UV filter and CP filter. Bought in end of JAn.
2. Sigma 50-500mm RF IF HSM. HOYA 86 C UV filter. Boght around the same time.

ALl the lens comes as what is inside the new box when u buy them new.

PM me your price if you are keen with the lens.

expect around 700 for the 28-135 IS USM (if it rally is what you have described). Not too sure about the 50-500 Sigma. Around 1K?

As a rough guidence:
1. Canon lens 28-135 IS USM = 750
2. Sigma 50-500 = 1k.

Dun offer less than the above mentioned price.

I think your Sigma 50-500 is worth a bit more than that.. maybe $50-$100 more..

My heart will break if I had a 50-500 and sold it for almost 1/4 the buying price after few months. hehe

Sorry to say 3party lens dont have much value, original lens fetch more.
Unless buyer willing to buy at that price.

with all their quality control problems and poor customer support, u expect such high price for a sigma? u must be joking man!!

i would only pay half the market price for a secondhand sigma. otherwise i would never touch it.

Btw will you sell ur sigma 14mm at half of the current price?? Let's say 600.

sigma people not that bad what. i just send in my lens for service and they were pretty ok. parts are not readily available but service is ok lah.

original lens worth more used but buy new cost more too so i think its a matter of timing and needs.

1 got 4 sigma EX lenses and they've been good to me. quality is considered very good considering the price diff.

The prices quoted are very reasonable, and if anyone care to quote, please PM him and arrange for viewing. If CP/AP or any other PEE can get cheaper, then please BY ALL MEANS get it there, GOOD for YOU..

why get so worked up? u r just testing the market only, right? i am stating facts and not spoiling the market. it is not fair for u to compare this to my sales of 14mm sigma. u r not genuinely doing a sales transaction here. u r just testing your market. i am doing a genuine sale.

i dun understand your behaviour, saying my remarks irresponsible? u must be very new. u do not know the history of sigma and their quality problems. do your homework first before you say anything. being new is not an excuse to make accusations at others.

You may want to start your own thread to condemn Sigma ... don't do it on a seller's thread, even if it is test market ... I believe there are users of 50-500mm who well defend that lens. If we want to condemn Sigma let's do it in a new thread .... I like to know more about your views. Okay?

Last time I used to think like you but when I put myself on the seller's shoe, I would damn pissed off. Next time, if you ever want to sell things in CS, and people crap on your thread, how would you feel? Like eug says, you want to condemn Sigma, do it on a separate thread. Don't disturb people's selling. If you think price is ridiculous, walk away quietly....

I might be new, but i am not as illiterate as you are.
Can you read your own posting. You are condemning Sigma product as a whole. But you are also owning sigma lens. If you really hate Sigma, why do you want to own it anyway?? It means your statement is nothing else than to spoil my thread.
