Thanks for doing the comparison.

The E-5 photos show that they tried to get back to the E-1 look with some success. It's only the E-3 that seems to have trouble with the pinkish cast.

I'd probably turn down the saturation on the E-5 since the E-1 is generally a bit much at times and the E-5 is way past that level.

I agree with you on that. The E5 seems to oversaturate on its default settings.

I sold my E-620 and got the E-500 just for the Kodak sensor. I must say I love it... sometimes can produce colors similar to Leicas. Even my wife said that old camera produces better colors than our E-620 and E-P1. And I paid practically peanuts for it

Wonder when is the next E? comes with Kodak sensor. I'm still holding back to replace my E300 with the burned pixels.

If I remember correctly, the E-300 and E-500 had the same Kodak sensor. They were a little more noisy than the E-1 sensor but they also had much more resolution: 8 vs. 5.1 MP.

noisewise i'd say my e-500 is almost similar to my e-620. a little more chroma noise at 800 up but not that much. plus no banding like the E-510/520. the DR though is a bit low compared to my E-P1

Normally I would not trust lah. Many people say some brand is good, some brand is fantastic. Only after I see and use myself then can say
