Why must CS send me an email everything someone replied to the thread I posted in?
EVEN though I've checked NO for :
Use 'Email Notification' by default?
Using this option emails you whenever someone replies to a thread that you have participated in.
?!

Yeah I'm experiencing the same problem too! ;(
I didn't check my email for one week and boom! 200 new mail!

I have moved this thread to Feedback and Suggestion since this is the more appropriate forum to post.

For those who are getting email notification, please double check on your User Control Panel and check if theres anything under the Subscribed Threads. If there is any, unsubscribe all and then monitor your threads again. Please let me know if it still sends an email to those threads originated by you.

For thoa_rs, I have checked and realised that you have checked on Use email notification by default. For you to turn it off, go to your User Control Panel and Edit Options. Look for Use 'Email Notification' by default? and select NO. Then click on Submit Modifications. Same thing, please let me know if it still sends an email to those threads originated by you.

Check if theres anything under the Subscribed Threads. If there is any, unsubscribe all and then monitor your threads again.

PS : Please note that if you have checked on Use email notification by default earlier and decided to turn it off at a later stage, you still have to (manually) unsubscribe all those (already) Subscribed Threads under your Control Panel.

Thank you! It works!

Hi Jason,

Is it possible to keep subscribing to threads and NOT receiving those email notifications?

The purpose of the Thread Subscription is to notify the originator via email that someone has responded to him. Thats why when you unsubscribe the thread, it will stop sending any notification.

Do you have any other reason for subscribing to the thread beside the notification part?

Hi Jason,

yes, I use the subscription option only to 'memorize' the threads that I am interested in and will look at them whenever I log onto Clubsnap, therefore I don't need the notification by emails (it is also a little annoying to delete them everythime as I don't read them)

Hmm.. juz curious, in that case, why don't u just "Add to Favourites"?

Yeah, looks like that's what the only option is, didn't want to add to my loooooooooong list of favourites.......

also spotted a few cross-linked msgs...

Organize them in folders - I've got easily ~100 favourites and it still looks pretty neat 'coz it's all categorized.

Will do that! :-) was too lazy to do it, cause it has gotten out of hand.......

Normally what I do to threads I'm interested in is simply to post a smilie, but preferably some comment; and when I log in the next time, I just use the search function to search for my own nick.
