Micro four third has just become ..... micro in the four third sub-forum ....

Ridiculous !!!!!!!!!

Everything you need to know under the sun on mFT in ONE thread ......

Maybe the FT forum just needs two threads ... any guess what the other thread would be ;)

MY HEARTFELT suggestion now?

Separate the mFT from the FT sub-forum if the mods can't give space to mFT :bheart:

Hi, I also got a red one and bought the other zoom lens too. I really like the camera and the pics are nice.

Me ... i think blue is the way to go .....

Personally for me... Either,

mFT as a separate forum.

or

mFT as a subforum from the FT forums.

LOL...i have read it and I missed the part on the IS.. I have turned it on and there is no more shakes:)

Here is Santa little helper. Am using my laptop now so might not be able to tell if its underexpose or overexpose.

Nice doggie ... what was the ISO?

This camera is so nifty. I fits right into the situation when you do not want to make people feel nervous pointing a dSLR at them but you want a good photo. The red one especially makes your subject feel more relaxed because it looks like a toy.

It is so tempting to get one, especially the red one but I am in dilemma whether to wait for the HD version....

I am in agony. I've been infected with advanced stages of the BBB virus. It is killing me!

Someone give me a reason to buy now :D

You are infecting me, bro .... do you think a blue one looks sexy in a pub ...

Yeah .... HD ... who prints in HD now .... :dunno:

It's the M to M4/3 adapter, so can use directly leica lens on panasonic g1. I'm not sure how long the list :D , anyway camera quest only ship in jan , so buy now then buy novolflex .

So what are the auto functions retained with this adapter .... or is it completely manual :dunno:

Hi DaXiong,

I bought mine from Cathay too, the sales woman took the effort to help me cut up a screen protector so that it fits almost perfectly onto the odd shaped LCD.

I had some time to take some shots with my G1 today and the lighting is a lot better than previous days, I will be posting some of them here. Hope you guys find them useful. Ofcourse, they are not pro works. Feel free to comment. Thanks.

There is no custom made protector yet .... ? But I do agree that CP gives good customer service though they tend to be a little "sombong" ...

hope the manual isn't too thick... let us know how the menu interface is like :) didn't quite like the way my fz5 makes me go into multiple pages before i can set most options...

RTFM ..... I have yet to do that for any of my cameras .... :)

Is it thick? Is mFT that different from FT cameras?

A Bit OT here...

Is the G1 compatible with the Nikon SB600 / SB400 flashes?

I used the SB600 with the FZ50 some time ago, if it works then I will be getting the SB400 that will look great on the G1 ;)

Nothing OT here ... anything goes .... I guess you can just use the standard auto - camera on sync or manual set aperture and shutter speed then let it rip ....

I got it at 988SGD with a 8GB Highspeed SD card from MScolor and of cos a lousy camera bag lol...

Have checked with Alanphoto too, its 940SGD but with a 4GB card.

Anywhere else ... :dunno:

Hmmm... it seems like I am the only one posting photos from the G1, am I on the wrong thread? :dunno:

Anyway, in the beginning I was complaining about some flaring problems. However, after cleaning up my UV filter, I think the issue has been resolved.

I was wondering how the camera performs at night, so I went around taking some night shots. Here are the results.

Nice shots bro!
Looks HDR to me ....

Again ... for mod .. it is kinda difficult to lump ALL discussions of the mFT G1 into just one thread .... makes reading too "rojacky" :dunno:

I love rojak

What rojak do you mean ... rojak buah, mamak rojak or rojak-rojak

Actually it can be fun sorting out this cr*p of a thread ..... :sweatsm::sweatsm:

Why is creating a super huge mega thread such a favourite thing to do in Singapore forums? It's a reason why I no longer visit places like PPCSG. I (and many others) don't like wading through 10 pages of different topics to find the topic I'm looking for.

Look, if a thread is about a single topic, let it stand. I disagree that a newbie has to plow through 10 pages (or more) of posts on differing topics. Ever read a book where the chapters have been cut and jumbled up? That's bad editing. This is no different. To put it in another way, it's easier to pick out information that is labelled into stand-alone segments than it is in one messy pile of everything.

Guiness Book of World Records

Let the newbie suffer ... and let the non-newbie suffer MORE .... Ha! Ha :sweatsm::sweatsm:

Heh! I finish one page by myself just addressing some of the issues here .... :):):)
