[ Tech ] - Processing E-5 RAW files... which software?

I would not want to waste time on doing such conversion. By doing so you are actually telling Lightroom to use the profile of E-30 to demosaic E-5 ORF, which in my opinion, will not optimize the image quality of E-5.

Wait a while, Lightroom is due to release their final version for v3.3 (it is now a Release Candidate), which I think may include their support for E-5.

Really? Finally! Most probable support for E-5!

Well, hope it won't be long now, it can tick people off but in the meantime, I guess the only solutions are to either use Silkypix (which is not for everyone) or use Masters to convert before using another photo editing program for post processing

Though Master can read E-5 ORF this is not the right software to use it anymore. You would not be able to enjoy the image quality of E-5 using the out-dated software. Olympus Viewer 2 is a replacement for Master and Studio. There is no more support available for those 2 software.

Please get your information updated. :)

Eh? SORRY! I blur :bsmilie: my mind currently filled with adobe flash and 3Ds Max

No doubt the next release of adobe Camera RAW will support the E-5, although the latest release only works with CS5

Well, I hope you are correct in that the support will be in the upcoming release:D. I have been storing my E5 images on my hard drive, away from my normal camera uploads. It has been a race as to what would happen first - release of the Adobe RAW Converter or a full hard disc drive:o.

Im not sure i'll be too pleased with that LR support finally comes out. I have a few hundred raw images in my backlog to sort out!
