why is it a shame? Ep-2 was pretty good already

I would assumed that probably olympus has some disagreement with panasonic which is why they didnt use the better newer 16mp sensor on EP3.

Or maybe olympus has really ate their own words by saying previously that 12mp is more than enough since no one really expects technology has evolved so much so that sensor can increase mp count and yet improve low light performance at the same time (sony 16mp and panny 16mp are good examples).

Theres rumor that olympus might use different vendor for their upcoming camera sensors though.

The problem remains is that which company is willing to do a limited production run for Olympus? People may say that Olympus should switch, but semiconductors are items that must have >90% yields to be profitable. It is a pretty costly proposition.

Olympus' engineers indicated they strictly believed in 12MP sensors.

Maybe stubborn old horses are unwilling to switch

I'm not too smitten by the camera to be honest, in terms of aesthetics.

If I did care about aesthetics, I'd buy a Leica, but I have no money for one yet. :bsmilie:

Question 1: would like to ask EP3 owner is it normal for recording to be jerky (as in the frame rate is not smooth at all) when I am recording with art filter?
I am using EP3 with an existing Class 6 SD card..tq

Question 2: Can I change ISO setting when using art filter? Cant find it..first time olympus user...

finally bought Ep3. so happy snapping around and when I want to read the file on Mac, my current CS5 version could not read the file. Any advice given what I could do here..?
