hi bro, I am not very sure on this. I have not done any detail testing on eneloop cells so far.

Yes, I do agree that if you use Eneloop cells onto high power LEDs flashlights, I am sure it will light up the unit, but the issue here is "how many cycles can it last ?".

I am quite sure that the Sanyo 2700mAh cells are ment for high discharge applications ( it is clearly labelled ). no doubt about it. It can repeat ( recharge to about 300 cycles , depending on the temperature of useage and depth of discharge etc. ).

If you use Eneloop cells for high discharge, how many cycles can it last ? Is it written somewhere ?

You are right so far have not come across any proven statistic.

Anway the eneloops are only 2000mAh capacity wise lower than those Sanyo 2700mAh.

Both Sanyo 2700mAh and Eneloop 2000mAh cells are NiMH. Only difference is the power rating and the ability to retain its charge over a period of time.
Sanyo Eneloop & Powerex (MAHA energy) Imedion are rated at 2000mAh and 2100mAh respectively. They are tested to be able to retain up to 85% charge after 6 months.
Other rechargables from Sanyo and MAHA (eg, those 2700mAh ones) are usually rated higher than their charge-retaining variant. They are more powerful but will lose their charge faster over time.

For me I use powerex 2700mAh for my flashes, many more cycles and more consistent in recycling. Even for my battery pack, I use 2700s also. I use Imedion and Eneloop for my camera body and spare batteries for flash.

1 bad trade off for high charge retention is low capacity seems like the technology still got a lot of room for improvement.
