Good afternoon, just a quick note before I have to go off for other meetings.
I think we should have some form of, as you have put it nicely, some towels or t-shirts or even some form of identifications so that when others asked, we have something to tell them or show them.
Remember Cable Car Station, the manager asked me what group we belong to so that he has a record, I can only said, we are Tangshooters, but nothing to show for it. We can even advertised ourselves more, the next time, we may have paid shooting opportunities.
At the Charity event, the same question came out again, I was asked how did we get to be the photographers for the event, again have to say we are a group of passionate photographers roped in by a more passionate and compassionate member (thank you Jawzsg for that wonderful outing, very memorable) to do our part for charity.
So some form of identification will be good.
Not sure whether my comments is valid or not.

1) T shirt
2) Camera strap
3) Name card
4) A congregated website to showcase everyone's works
Out of the above, so far, I feel that T shirt and name cards are the most readily accessible and feasible. Reason? Relatively low cost and easily attainable and realisable. The only things in question here are our logo.
As for camera straps, to tie up with the OEM manufacturers like Kata, Matin, etc. will take time, and thus, will not happen so soon. But I still think it's a good idea. As for website, our current one is not updated regularly. Perhaps we can also come up with a better design that can easily showcase everyone's works? Like in different categories then each member has his own manageable space. Or just a main page with different members' nicks where visitors can just click in to view that particular member's works? :think:

As I mentioned before in a couple of pages back that there is an event shoot on 21 June 08.
I had discussed with the organisation and understood their requirements. The event start from 7am and end before lunch. The guest of honour for this event is one of our famous local singer.
Photos takens during this event must be submited in resolution printable in A3 size (jpeg) and complied into a CD with your name on top. The dateline for submitting the CD is two weeks after the event 5 July 08.
Note:
This is a volunteering event. The photos taken during this event are only used for photographers' own portfolio. They must not be post in any of the public forums. The reason is to protect the participants in this event.
Interested participants, please put your name here and pm me your full name, so that I can submit a name list to the organisation.

Only a multiply site IIRC.
Yeah I second Dolby's suggestion to register a .org.sg or just www.tangshooters.sg
Then we can all chip in for the hosting, maintenance, etc. If possible, we can have our own manageable space. Whether you update it is up to you (removes dependency upon others to update for you). And all members should contribute for the website and get their own space. :think:
