EDIT: oops i think i sound like tian ya...
It's more like the kit lens are as sharp with the centre crop (100%) gauging from the details of the amplifiers..
However, on one edge crop that was done with heavy backlit, CA is more apparent in the kit... the Sigma is definitely better...haiz.
Guess there was a slight hick up by taking the pics in "AV" rather than "M" and control a consistant exposure. But by this comparison, I think I'll still be keeping my kit as it is OK by my standard. Also guess that Sigma need some service...
Me also took a few test shots between my kit lens and a Sigma 24-70 EX DG coz someone commented my kit lens seemed different..

Don't know what to make of it but the kit lens look doesn't look very different.
