.. fWah...power reh......the speed of light in air (refractive index 1.0003) is 298,895,771 m/s. Mean electrical speed will be too slow, hardly > 2m per day but propagational electrical conductivity at the slowest in high resistant conductor is 197,271,209 m/s
In 1/4000 sec shuttle speed, the distant covered by your flash would be >74km, right across SG liao. The electrical conductivity 49km, Tuas to East Coast liao. If shoot macro at <25cm, shutter 1/1,000,000 also no problem liao ....
Also at 1/4000, the shuttle should be moving across the sensor at some 340 km/hr, faster than F1 cars.... so in theory, all flash can be sync even at top shuttlespeed of 1/8000, but we can't sync at 1/320 with hotshoe mount...tsk..tsk..tsk..... I think the cameller manufacturer purposely try to short change us liao....
but why need to sync a flash when shuttlespeed is 1/4000 ah ......

so any of you bought anyting from comex?:bsmilie:
camel buttie the max sync speed for camera is still limited by its shutter design..many of today's dslr uses curtain shutter..though one may still be able to force fire at hi-speed sync..but the banding problem still occurs..there's only one dslr the d70/d70s which uses electronic shutter can tweak to do true hi-speed sync..hi-speed sync is very useful in the area of fast macro - like water droplets, horsin flight take off, etc..
i believe there's still lots of room for improvements on camera design..
Wanted to buy the kodak waterproof video cam but not selling there. Mayb must order from amazon directly.![]()
