actually in phuket its 129baht for such kind of local bbq/steamboat buffet cos its a more touristic destinations. in hatyai, chiangmai and some parts of koh samui, such similar style buffet only 99baht.

in countries like such, the general guideline is, if you see many locals eating there, the food must be good. but if u see many tourist and zero locals eating there, that must be a chop carrot place.

i always like to rent a bike/car to explore the rural parts of the country side and try to blend in with the locals as much as possible.
