Hi there,

I am a freelance designer, commissioned by Travel+Leisure Southeast Asia magazine to design a Singapore supplement inconjunction with Singapore Tourism Board that will appear in the T+LSEA Dec issue.

I am currently picture researching and came across on flickr an image of the RWS Festive Hotel lobby (staircase and colourful lanterns) -- we would like to request the usage to publish this in the supplement. The size would be roughly a 1/4 A4 page size. If so, we would be able to credit you for the image. As the deadline is rather tight, we would be most grateful if we could receive the hi res images by today (Thurs).

And, if you have any other pictures of the RWS concentrating on design and architecture - please include those.

It depends on ur direction towards photography..

2-3 years back i will strongly say no money no talk..but i see changes in this world, ppl doing free deeds will succeed..later if not now..
we all have to start somewhere..b4 u r even rejecting, maybe on the queue got another photographer willing to have his image printed..
If u r really pursuing a career in photography or for fame or for the "song", tis is a good point to start..free publicity..
If photography to u is a pasttime and images to u are very important, dun want them to be exploited then dun give..

This is true. Nowadays we are competing with students and amateurs. someone will offer willingly to get publish. Build a strong portfolio
then nothing is for free.

Hanor, now dslr so cheap, they can ask students or intern copy your composition and take similar photo for publication. Don't need to ask you for permission anymore. Haha.
