bro..ur cam still D80 lehz..not D300 or D3 lah..flash very important for events..especially indoors..
Does D3 or D300 mean no flash required? with the new ultra high ISO? Haaa...

Maybe Mike prefers the "Natural Light" feel...

The lady MC ask the group to look at the "hunk" cameraman leh. Just realise that the pic looks like ya flash fires and burn the ceiling. :o

Still learning. Pushing the D80 to extreme. Nearly overburn liao. :bsmilie:

Yup, that's what I looking for. Flash kills the ambience. Also, Flash not allow in most cases. Especially during concert or performance event. So, must practice without using one.

Then the next option will be to use 5D, set ISO to 1200 and then buy a super duper L lens with F1.4 or F2.0....

Agree. I also use alot bounce flash for event photography. Esp if its indoors. Most clients (personally speaking) just want bright & clear pics. Sometimes artistic and technical shots like bokehs, shadows etc are not appreciated by the client.

Also its gd to ask client if they are going to use the photo for printouts. If so, what size? Cuz i find 400D's noise performance only gd up to 400 for A4 size. Even at 400 its still abit noisy. Anything above that you print A4 will get alot of noise and grain.

Then again noise visibility also have to take into account the highlights of the area. Stronger highlight = more noise also.

Lol think i talk too much le :p
