Time: 8:00AM - 11:00AM
Location: Singapore Bontanic Gardens (SBG)
Meetup Location: SBG Foodcourt (Near Tanglin Gate, Cluny Road)

Lens Requirement for Sunbirds: At least 135mm and above.
Note: Those without tele-lenses are welcome to come for macro shoot also. As we will be shooting a bit of macro and candid as well.

Tangshooters Year-end Overnight shoot

Open to all Tangshooters Ordinary members

Date: 20 Dec 2008, Sat

Time : 11pm - 5am (after that breakfast at the port itself)
Meet there about 11pm at the JFP Main gate

Location: Jurong Fishery Port


How to get there: Bus 98 from JURONG EAST INT, the bus stop, stops quite near to the JFP, about 12mins walk.

Things to bring:

1. Water
2. Camera & lens (18-200mm)
3. Identity card
4. Cash for breakfast
5. A spare T-shirt just in case, soiled.

Do's and Dont's in the port:
Please ensure that fish merchants' consent are obtained before taking photos on them to prevent any misunderstanding. No flash allowed unless consented by the fish merchants also. The business hours of the fish wholesale market at JFP is during midnight between 2am to 5am except Sunday midnight. Please be reminded as a visitor, you are not allowed to go onto the wharf area. You may take a look at the fishing vessels berthed at the port from the fence put up at the wharf.


Footwear
As the market floor is wet and slippery, visitors are advised to put on proper footwear. Suggested footwear will be sandals, shoes.

For those driving
Linkup point to meet up will be disclosed later. You are also allowed to park your car in JFP car park with a fee of $2.70 per entry. Please pay the fee via cashcard.

Entry Permit
Participants are to PM to gglankie with their Name and NRIC as stated in their IC, as i have to submit all visitors particulars to their authorities for Port entry permit.

Only 20 slots will be opened for this event. Participants are to rest well as it will be tiring. Closing date will be 10 Dec as i need to send to authorities.

Proposed Date: 21st Feb 2009 - 22nd Feb 2009
Estimated Cost: S$100-S$120

Cost includes:
- Transport throughout the trip. Bring us round the place to eat, shoot etc etc.
- All meals (including durian feast, seafood buffet spread etc etc)
- Kelong visit
- Accommodation (not top class but spacious so can shoot each other. Hahaha...)

Activities Expected:
- Walkabout / Streets (Includes Kelong visit and street shoot)
- Landscapes / Seascapes / Ruralscapes
- Feasting on Durian and seafood
- Sunset shoot at kelong

- Night Macro (Strobists / Torch fanatics gather!)

Minimum of 25 ppl to open the whole "villa" to ourselves. Please note at least 25, if not the price will not hold. I believe this is the lowest cost one can find as all food and lodging included as well as transport. Dun miss this opportunity! According to glenn and roland, they feast like mad as almost every few hrs is food. Shooting is abundance too!

Fantasia Malaysia Trip 2008
Cameron Highland & Christmas Malacca​


Date: 20th to 22nd December 2008
Time: Saturday morning to Monday night
Location: Cameron Highland and passing by Malacca Portuguese Village, might drop by in Ipoh
Itinerary: Free N Easy. Impromptu and stop for photography as and when needed. Includes Boh Tea Plantation, Strawberry Farm, Gunung Brinchang, Waterfall, Organic Plantation, etc.


Objective : Enjoy good food, photography shoot, gathering, scenery and have a feel of the small towns.
What to expect : Scenery, Wildlife, Birding, Nature, Abstract, Landscape, Candid, Portraits, IR, HDR, Christmas Lightnings, Food.
What lens to bring : Lens that can shoot the above.
Type of Food : Steamboat Buffet, Local Delights, Desserts, Famous Delicacies.

*** This trip is open to Tang Shooters Ordinary Members onwards and their friends at the moment.

Kindly bring a maximum of 1 tripod, 1 camera bag n 1 small bag for personal items. Details and itinerary will be send after closing. Budget depends on the hotels that we book. Will either be 4 person in a room for hotel.

A deposit amount will be collected after the closing dates to indicate ya commitment as well as pay for the room. Thank you. As this trip will be traveling via car, there'll be a limit to the number of people going.

Jedi Master Knight Ong couldn't make it as he'd just received a Red Bomb from his friend.

Mega TFCD 2008 Theme: Outback Extravaganza

Date - 14th December, 2008. Sunday
Time - Morning from 8am to 12pm (Actual shoot are 3 hrs)
Location - Will be made known to participants
Props - Will be shooting with 4X4s n SUVs (Modded Up Version)
Outfit - Wild west style, outdoor adventure type. Something like Jeans with shirt/blouse.
Ratio - 2 photographer to 1 model

how high up or low down will the birds be? :think:

they will mostly be flying arnd the flowers ~1.4meters. But they are beri small and sensitive so approach has to be extremely sleek. Keep to >= 5meters away from them. And they are fast. :sweat:
