I did not have 500D, I have a HOYA +3 close up filter ( similar to 500D, but 500D is +2 only ). I feel that at 70mm range, this close up filter works well, not at the 200mm range. I sold it recently due to "seldom use" reason.

I prefer to add extension tubes, easier to add or remove , no compromise in image quality.

yeah.. ext tube is no image quality affected.. but it darker... so you have to counter and adjust your lightings heh heh...

This 35-70 is so similar to Anuguiex 35-70mm.. i think its the same.... I have that but i dun like it. I prefer my 70-210mm Leica.... bro u want to have a try first?
