hello brother need help with regard about mounting photos on cardboard for safra photo competition. Is it DIY( any cardboard will do ) or can buy the mounting for photo ( from art store ). First time for me.

For better presentation, go to Arts n Friends in Bras Brasah to get the cardboard to mount onto. Either black or white will be good. Get those with thickness of 157gsm (Can't remember the proper size liao since I stop involving in the printing n design industry) or more to prevent any accidental crumple.

Ah Bang,

I am not sure if there is a change in the term "mounting"... but , as far as I know. mounting should be as follows:

1. get some black card board from stationary shop ( any cardboard will do, but prefer to be about 1mm thick, prefer to be plan ones ).

2. the cardboard has to be bigger than your picture ( as a good practice, you should leave 1" from the image border to the edge of cardboard ). The bottom side of the picture should be longer, so that the judge knows the exact orientation of your intent ).

3. use a pen-knife and strip off about 1mm of the edge of the picture, leaving a white border around the image.

4. use small pieces of double sided tape to secure the picture to your cardboard.

5. good luck.
