Bro, tis one overcooked liao..i understand ur intentions..but it looks really weird for the subjects to look like popped out..

Haha... noted bro. I did these kinda processing be4 which is supposed to make subject stand out be4. Have to admit kinda fake but seen somewhere in chinese mags on this kinda dreamy processing. Will keep on learning yeh!

izzit lomo effect huh ??? lol... i wan to learn lei...

Quite close but not exactly.

Step 1: Copy the original layer.
Step 2: Create a duplicate layer and simulate cross processing (Found the steps for this action somewhere in web)
Step 3: Merge the 2 layers.
Step 4: Paste back the originally copied layer. Apply a layer mask and recover the cross processing layer for the background only. Leaving the people still in normal skin tones.
Step 5: Merge the 2 layers
Step 6: Apply skin smoothening on a duplicate layer.
Step 7: Merge the 2 layers
Step 8: Duplicate the layer and apply Lens Blur filter. Add layer mask and recover the subject details.

I not pro in PS... these are really not best of effort put in so i hope jason and vicky forgive me... wahaha...

bro, this is too much. Have you ever try the CS3 smart object... smart object is use like a layer, but u can adjust the value again & again without re-do the steps. I think with smart object u can adjust how much u want it to 'pop out'

Some C&C:

Piggy back, would be better if u can brighten up the face.

Sea breeze & smile: Try not to crop at the joints (knees/elbows) etc.

Otherwise, good effort for first timer! :)
