If you have the money to spent on either nikkor or tamron,
which one would you choose
any1 bought it recently and from where. what the street price now ?
im planning to jump to full frame...is this lens worth investing? or nikon 24-70 is still better?
Image quality is almost same for both len. Vc is great for tamron. But e difference is focus speed, ESPEICALLY in ballroom lighting. Too many miss in low light condition, i give it up and stick to my nikon. But i do miss vc function on tamron. Also nikon tend to give me barrel jam/stiff issue after sometime.
To sum it up for you (in my opinion)
If you want - vc function, cheaper cost, no barrel jam issue, high miss focus rate in low light, go for tamrom, spent $ on a 82mm filter
If you want - the best in the market, super fast and accurate focusing in whatever light condition, solid metal built, can afford to repair barrel issue (if it happen), go for nikon.
