Hi, I am looking at some Tamron 28-75/2.8 Di in the Buy and Sell forum. Noticed that there are a few people that resell their Tamron lens with 2 years++ warranty (meaning original total warranty period is 3 years). But I saw in most other sales of Tamron lens stated to be 2 years minus period bought. Can anyone tell me what am I missing? And what should I expect to see in a local set of a Tamron len (like warranty card, chop) other than the hood and case (if available as from Tamron.com)?

All tamron lenses have 1 year international warranty. But our local agent added 2 more years of local warranty. So total 3 years of warranty.

Really? Thanks for the information. Will be calling the local agent tmr see what they say about items bought overseas.

I bought mine from B&H and Tamron agent in Singapore (Thites) doesn't honor the US warranty.

Arggh... oic, thanks for your input :)

Do you know where is Tamron services centre located? I got one lenses to services.

Don't bother, the service is seriously horrible. Your lens can be left there for a week and nothing will be done about it until you call and harass them.
